What type of voice do you like more when a girl sings?

I am a 15 year old girl and my dream is to be on American Idol. But i know im not ready quite yet. I am going to work as hard as i possibly can to train my voice so i can be the best i can possibly be. But i would like to know what kind of voice you prefer. I can make my voice have some rasp in it and put some grawls in there like Haley Reinhart from this past season. (by the way my favorite was NOT Haley, it was the amazing James Durbin!!! Love him! Just thought id share that with yall) So please tell me what kind of voice you like better. My friend said that she didn't like the fact the Haley had a raspy tone to her voice but i do so that's what i bring out in my own voice. I would also most likely sing pop music, something to keep in mind. However, i have been told by many that i have a country sounding voice so im thinking a crossover between country and pop is the way to go for me. Something like a Carrie Underwood or Taylor Swift sound. So please tell me if you like those grawls or not. And if not what would be your advice! I take all the constructive criticism so please be honest and give and opinions you might have! Thanks!!!
